4 Transfer the site to another domain
A site can be transferred to another domain.
While a domain name might seem right when first obtained, a change in business or personal focus may result in a change to the site focus, and another domain name may serve that better. At that time, this procedure can be used to shift the content to a new domain, whether on the same hosting provider or another.

For the primary account domain, the provider usually needs to do the changes, but the email accounts will be deleted and their emails lost. To handle such a transfer of emails, perform the steps of the Transfer emails procedure.
For an addon domain, the email addresses can be transferred at a later date than for the site content. The content transfer process is as simple as installing the software on the new domain, then overwriting its bare content with that from the current domain, then deleting the current site's content, which will also redirect all pages to their same path on the new domain. The old domain needs to be left as is for a few months so that returning visitors can still find the content, and search engines will eventually transfer all current domain reputation to the new domain.
Another license required: Two fully operational sites will have to run in parallel until the installation on the old one can be deleted. That means that another license will need to be purchased for the new domain. Deleting the old site will free up its license which can be used for future transfers, another domain or given away.
