The master manager can set up the banner for a subsite.
If no banner has ever been defined, always start with the main subsite-master locale combination.
This procedure is intended to be performed by: Master manager.
To setup a banner:
2Select a subsite-locale combination
by clicking on a locale for a subsite.
If there is a trial banner:
- a.The banner is shown at the top of the page as it would appear for the subsite and locale if committed.
- b.The Actions table has Reset and Commit rows.
- c.The Subsite and Locale sections contain the trial values.
otherwise, if there is a committed banner:
- a.The banner is shown at the top of the page as it is for the subsite and locale.
- b.The Actions table only has the Status row.
- c.The Subsite and Locale sections contain the committed values.
otherwise:
- a.There is no banner at the top.
- b.The Status is Disabled.
- c.The Subsite section has blank text fields and default selections.
- d.The Locale sections contain the committed values.
4Optionally, start again
by resetting all text and values to the currently committed values, by:
- a.Clicking the Reset checkbox in the Reset row of the Actions table.
- b.Clicking the newly shown Reset checkbox.
- c.Clicking the newly shown Confirm button.
The page is redisplayed as per the list for committed values in the response for step 2.
5Apply the trial values
by committing all text and values to be the new current values, by:
- a.Clicking the Commit checkbox in the Commit row of the Actions table.
- b.Clicking the newly shown Reset checkbox.
- c.Clicking the newly shown Confirm button.
The response is:
- a.The values are applied immediately.
- b.The page is redisplayed as per the list for committed values in the response for step 2.
6Enable the banner
by clicking the Disabled button in the Status row of the Actions table.
The response is:
- a.The banner is shown on any subsequent page accesses.
- b.The page is redisplayed with a Status of Enabled.
